Nyege Nyege Remix Oslo
- A celebration of cultural diversity in electronic music.

Nyege Nyege Remix Oslo transforms Oslo's club scene with a two-day mini-festival, featuring Norwegian and international artists. Nyege Nyege, possiblyEast Africa's largest festival, collaborates with Digital Diaspora for this Norway-edition.

Oslo's club scene is vibrating with a mix of acrobats, amapiano, hip-hop, dancehall, reggaeton, on one side, techno, house, experimental club music and electronica on the other. Think of this mini-festival as a remix, produced by Nyege Nyege and Digital Diaspora, who's bringing together diverse musical expressions on May 3rd and 4th at Melahuset, Baba Bar and Kafé Hærverk.

MELAHUSET, Saturday, May 4, 2024:

HY & The Kampala Unit
HHY & The Kampala Unit is a futuristic exploration of fresh, yet submerse territory in music mixing up dub, techno, traditional drumming and elements of trance over ghostly and cinematic passages. A collaborative venture featuring visionary Saldanha on electronics and production with fierce trumpet player and ghetto activist Florence Lugemwa.

Catu Diosis
Catu Diosis is a free spirited, energetic, forward moving Ugandan producer & Dj. Her music is flavorful, highly danceable, always an afrocentric blend of global music, taking you from Luanda to Sao Paulo, from Kampala to Bamako in a second.

Felix Jatta
Felix Jatta is a Gambian and Norwegian artist based in Oslo, Norway - an explosion of energy and good vibrations. He has the talent of combining soul RnB, afro-pop and dancing together, and it is impossible to stand still during Jatta's concerts.

DJ Refel
DJ Refel is a local Oslo DJ by the land of Iraq. DJ Refel has since 2018 played as a DJ in the biggest clubs in Oslo, where she has had a passion for experimental sounds and music styles from south of the equator, or from the diaspora that is ignited by being multicultural.

Tejaswinee Kelkar
Tejaswinee Kelkar is approaching the Indian raga tradition by combining it with neo-classical and modern music production. She uses means such as variation and repetition, and with the help of algorithms and artificial intelligence, she is integrating South Asian vocal music with noisy drones.

0-hne
0hne is an Oslo-based DJ who has played at various venues internationally. Their abrasive mixes combine experimental music genres from the global majority, including techno, amapiano, house, drill, dub and garage.

After the event at Melahuset , Nyege Nyege Remix Oslo continues at Kafé Hærverk and Baba Bar.
