Far out at sea, they discover that their youngest son, Pancho Crovetto, has hidden among the cargo, and so he joins the Sultan's kingdom. Calabash Tales

A warm and vibrant journey through song, dance and storytelling.

In Calabash Tales, children experience stories, rhythms and traditions from West Africa, where music carries the stories and the body is allowed to participate. The calabash – a large dried gourd – functions both as a drum and as a symbol of the stories that are carried through generations. The performance opens up for laughter, participation and curiosity, and invites children into a universe where culture meets imagination, community and the joy of rhythm.

Cast:
Solo Diarra – vocals, n'goni, djembe, calabash
Bafana Nhlapo – industrial percussion, vocals

Papillon

A concert that takes the audience into a playful and unique musical universe.

Melodies, little stories, rhythms and memories flutter over each other. Like the wings of a butterfly, the music takes us from one to the other in a transparent and minimalist soundscape that knows no genre. Sidiki Camara plays percussion and ńgoni and Jørn Erik Ahlsen Alkanger plays guitar. Sarah Camille sings and narrates; and along the way we would like to hear the voices of the audience!
