Zarandeo Kids Flamenco Festival

Saturday 11 March

Melahuset
16:15
Join the first Norwegian edition of the Zarandeo flamenco festival for children.
A space for learning, creation and participation of young talents open to all children regardless of their origin. And for coexistence between Hispanic cultures and Norwegian culture in Oslo.
We present the younger generation of fabulous artists all world-class from Spain and the Nordic countries. This is an event where children get to experience colourful and energetic flamenco dancing for real! Through intricate rhythms and fast melodies, beautiful guitar and lovely singing, children will see and listen to the distinctive expression of flamenco music and dance. Stepping, guitar, palmas and vocals are central, as well as shawls and fans.
Zarandeo is a word in Spanish that means to move something or someone from one place to another with speed and energy, just like it happens in flamenco Directed by Bellali Austria (Oslo International Flamenco Festival), in collaboration with Samspill International Music Network.
