This spring starts Melahuset up with a concert series that we have called oldtimers. Musicians who have immigrated to Norway and who have had a great impact on the Norwegian music scene are honored here.
You can experience the following vintage concerts this spring:
February 22: Shri Lal Sahajpal with Rohini Sahajpal and Niti Ranjan Biswas - A tribute to a musician who has shaped the music scene in Norway for the past 40 years.
March 20: Javed Afsari Rad - A tribute to a musician and tradition bearer.
April 18: Claudio Latini feat. Ole Henrik Giørtz - A tribute to a musician who has introduced us to samba and bossa nova.
May 9: Sankung Jobarteh with Sofanyama Band and Sambou Suso - A tribute to a Gambian guitar legend.
