Storytelling Festival: David and Bathsheba

Sunday 26 March

Power and passion. Intrigue and infidelity. Sin and redemption.
David and Bathsheba is the most harrowing, shocking and controversial story in the Bible: of an extramarital passion everyone can experience, a murder everyone can condemn, a dead child in swaddling clothes everyone can weep over, and an intimate relationship with God everyone has felt drawn to.
Compagnia di Storytelling Raccontamiunastoria are living legends of European storytelling, with their own passionate and hard-hitting style. Accompanied by live music and performed in English.
With a short introduction by Terje Nordby.
Talk with the performers immediately after the performance.

In Italy, Raccontamiunastoria is the first company to tell exclusively oral stories since its foundation. They organise shows, interactive evenings with themed stories, they promote and organise storytelling courses and educational workshops in schools.

Over the years, the company has been particularly dedicated to creating a community of Italian storytellers, becoming a point of reference for those who practice or wish to approach this art, and to consolidate relations with the international community through collaborations with foreign artists and participation in international storytelling festivals.
