Maria Lotus released her long-awaited second album "High Life" in April and it will be celebrated with a release concert at Melahuset on Thursday, May 25th. You can look forward to a musical journey filled with catchy rap, melodic singing, a live band with strings, and of course Maria Lotus' incredible stage presence.
As a pioneering artist on the Norwegian hip-hop scene, Maria Lotus has made a name for herself with her unique style and powerful voice. In 2020, she released her debut album "Melaninrik" where she impressed with hard-hitting lyrics and a generous insight into her life as a melanin-rich mother, artist, singer, dancer and activist. On her follow-up "High Life", she builds on her musical universe and explores new sounds.

DJ Niwin will play before and after the concert. He specializes in the genres of soul, hip hop, funk, R&B and house, and has also co-produced both of Maria Lotus' albums.
