What does the primordial sound of the universe sound like when channeled through a clarinet? What is the role of folk music in the age of technological singularity?
Verdensfolk, Melahuset and Goylem invite you to an evening of live cosmic folk music, song and dance at Melahuset on Friday, November 8.

Goylem plays new and old tunes inspired by Norwegian and Eastern European folk music, klezmer, Middle Eastern pop, art music and oriental electronica.
Many people have heard of the Third Eye, but do you know the Third Ear? An ancient Indian teaching describes the kundalini arm in the spine as a Cosmic Ear that hears everything at once: Past, future, present. What your neighbor says and thinks, what your ancestors felt, how the dinosaurs roared, angels sang, and how the universe both started and will one day end.
All together as a crazy, multi-dimensional, self-melting song.
In recent decades, Goylem has succeeded in stumbling his way into musical mysteries that transcend both ability and understanding. At Melahuset , audiences are invited to cleanse their inner cosmic ear, shake loose their dancing feet, and unleash the spaceklezmer worm in their spine for a few stolen hours.
