Iran: The world's first feminist revolution?

Tuesday, October 25

6:30 P.M.
Welcome to an evening of culture and conversations about the situation in Iran Melahuset . In mid-September, 22-year-old Jina Mahsa Amini died, with head injuries inflicted by the so-called morality police in Iran. Ever since Amini's murder, Iranian women, supported by men, have led protests in the streets, taking off the veil they are required to wear by law and cutting their hair. The protests quickly developed into a national uprising in Iran. How much do we really know about what is happening in Iran? Is this the start of a revolution that could topple the regime? And what will happen if the regime falls? These are some of the topics we will talk about at this event together with professionals, researchers, artists and exiled Iranians.

The event will be in Norwegian and English.
