Indian music traditions
Patrick Vedlog (Oslo) began his studies of Indian classical music in 2014. He has been mentored by several teachers, including the world-renowned performer of Bansuri, Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, and is currently a student of Pt. Nabankur Bhattacharya. He has been active on the Oslo music scene since 2017, playing concerts in Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands. At the same time, Vedlog shares his expertise with his students, focusing on preserving and promoting the traditions of Indian classical music.
Suvrat Apte started playing Tabla at the age of 8 with his guru Sanjay Karandikar. Later, he received extensive training under the guidance of Pandit Ramdas Palsule. Recently, he received training from none other than Ustad Zakir Hussain. He has been playing concerts for the past 10 years, including a number in India and Europe. Apte also plays the sitar, which he started practicing with his mother, Urmila Apte. For the past two years he has also been trained on the instrument by KG Westman.
Naïd Mubalegh has a background from France, Afghanistan and Norway. In the years 2017-2019, she received basic training in Indian classical music traditions from vocalist KM Mostafa Anwar (Bangladesh/Portugal) and flutist Sunil Pariyar (Nepal/Portugal). Since 2021, she has been a student of Patrick Vedlog, and has performed in concerts with singer and Dambora performer Hamid Sakhizada (Afghanistan/Norway).
