Manjeet Sarkar is an internationally acclaimed stand-up comedian who has been featured by The Guardian, Christian Science Monitor, The Print, Brut and more. His show Untouchable unveils the unspoken experiences of India’s silenced majority, turning taboo situations into revelation through laughter. He is the first comedian from the Dalit community to tour nationally and the first Indian comedian to perform at the United Nations.

At Melahuset we will first screen the documentary "Untouchable: Laughing out Caste", followed by both a stand-up show and a Q&A with Manjeet Sarkar.

"Untouchable: Laughing Out Caste" is Manjeet Sarkar’s first featured-length documentary that covers his groundbreaking journey as a stand-up comedian, capturing his unique perspective on rural and urban life, caste, and class. Between insightful jokes, razor-sharp wit and raw stories, the documentary highlights the universality of the caste system and the transformative power of artistic expression.
