Bazaar of Woven Tales

Saturday, May 24

Melahuset
18:00

Carpets are more than just objects; they are woven with the stories of life, carriers of memories and identity. Bazaar of Woven Tales stages the traditional carpet bazaar – as a platform for artistic expression and storytelling – the very heart of a society where politics, rumors, the latest news and the country's economy meet in narrow hallways and stalls.

Join us on May 24, 2025 at Melahuset , where the essence of the bazaar becomes a multidisciplinary event of poetry, music, performance and storytelling. This is a living, vibrant tapestry woven together by artists, poets, dancers and activists from different cultures and backgrounds.
This is a call to walk, to converse, and to feel.

Doors open at 6 pm
The program starts at 7 p.m.

Part One: Home

What exactly is home? Is it a physical place, a memory, or an enduring longing?
In the first part of the evening, artists and activists will explore what it means for them to belong and to be uprooted. Through personal and poignant reflections, we will take part in their journeys of finding, losing, and recreating home.

Part Two: War and Love

War and love are common threads in all of our lives. In this part of the evening, we delve into stories of passion and tension, unity and division.
