All Hail the Queen: RÜ / Zae Aio / Lea / GAIA

Melahuset and Female Oslo Music (F.O.M.O) present All Hail The Queen! This monthly concept presents female hip-hop and r&b artists in Norway, and this evening RÜ, Zae Aio, Lea and GAIA are on stage.

RÜ aka Ruth Victoria Rømyhr delivers stylish soul and r&b, inspired by older jazz, new age, r&b and hip-hop, and with lyrics that are both poetic and political. RÜ defines herself as queer and alternative and uses their music to promote self-acceptance and appreciation of diversity. Their debut album "La Petite Princesse", which was released in the fall of 2023, garnered praise from both critics and the public, and together with concerts at everything from Oslo Pride and the National Museum to Trondheim Calling, more and more people are being caught up in RÜ's unique musical universe.

With her blend of R&B and Afrobeats, Zae Aio creates a catchy and harmonious soundscape. Her voice is both soft and strong and has a slightly mysterious structure that creates an extra distinctive character. Live, Zae Aio combines danceable Afro and hip-hop rhythms with an energetic and dynamic show.

Lea is an up-and-coming artist from Lillehammer. Musically, she touches several genres, but her main focus is on r&b. She currently studies at Norway's most prestigious music school, LIMPI.

GAIA is a relatively new DJ name that spreads love, joy and good vibes on the dance floor when she puts on delicious afrobeats, house and some unforgettable throwback tracks. COME WHINE FAH ME MAM
