What would world literature look like if we stopped referring to "the West"? Welcome to a lecture with Ian Almond on the topic of literature from the global south, with a focus on literature from Latin America, South Asia and the Middle East.

Ian Almond is a specialist in post-colonial theories, South Asian literature, the representation of Islam in history and world literature. He has previously taught at universities in Germany, the USA, Italy and Turkey, and currently teaches at Georgetown University in Qatar.

Tabish Khair is a professor at the University of Aarhus, Denmark, and a writer.
