– Experimental jazz and electronic music
Saiyuki trio consists of Nguyên Lê on guitar, Mieko Miyazaki on koto and Prabhu Edouard on tabla. Each of the musicians is a virtuoso on their instrument and together they create a musical playground that takes listeners on a journey across cultures and Asian musical heritage. The musicians take their musical traditions from Japan, Vietnam and India as a starting point, add Western impulses, and weave it all together into a magical musical dialogue that creates a new form of wholeness. The result is an extremely interesting sonic landscape that blurs the musical framework and creates an “Asia without borders”.
Before and after the concert, Kim Dürbeck plays experimental electronic music. Kim Dürbeck, also known as Kim Thanh Ngo, is a Norwegian-Vietnamese DJ and electronic music producer based in Sandefjord. He has over 20 years of experience as a DJ and is one of the founders of Lek REC, which releases underground music across borders.
