Tilibo is the name of the collaboration between Bergen guitarist and string master Ole André Farstad, and kora player Ibou Cissokho from Oslo. In April 2024 they released their debut album Woo La Ba , and here they carry on the legacy of greats such as Tiomani Diabate and Ali Farka Touré with their playful kora-guitar dialogue. From thousand-year-old songs via blues and jazz and into modernity, this has become an explosive collaboration that we look forward to having here at Melahuset This evening, Sidiki Camara, one of the world's best percussionists, and the eminent double bassist Sondre Meisfjord are also part of the lineup.

Ibou Cissokho grew up in a griot family and learned to play the kora from his father, the famous musician Solo Cissokho. Ibou has developed a distinctive style that combines virtuoso kora technique with lyrical singing. He is an active musician and has played with both Karpe and Bugge Wesseltoft, in addition to several of his own projects.

Ole André Farstad is a musician from Harøya in Ålesund municipality who has spent the last 20 years exploring the world, studying string instruments and music on several continents. He is active in many musical contexts, whether it is touring with the metal band Abbath, the band Meelodi, Tres Musicos or Miss Tati Angola Søtti. He has also played with many griot musicians from West Africa. In 2022, he released the solo album Streng på Streng, where he plays 16 different string instruments.

Sidiki Camara is one of the world's leading percussionists, and is considered one of the creators of the modern wave of West African Manding music. Since 2010, he has made his mark on the music scene in Oslo and has played with artists such as Bugge Wesseltoft, in the cult band Sex Judas, and in the Sidiki Camara Group, together with Bendik Hofseth, Jacob Young and Audun Erlien. In 2024, he also won the Spellemannprisen in the traditional music category for the album Return to the Traditions .

Sondre Meisfjord is a double bassist, educated at the jazz department at NTNU. He has played with various jazz, folk and pop bands and in 2020 received the Spellemannprisen with the jazz group Come Shine.
