Drummer Charles Mena invites a star-studded team of musicians to create a rare joint live experience.

The album Quantum Force Inner Circles was recorded a few years ago, but was only released this spring. To celebrate the album release, Charles Mena invites musicians such as Lasse Weeden, Bafana Nhlapo, Kristian Wentzel, Ibou Cissokho, Sidiki Camara, Luison Capote, Sankung Jobarteh, Gunnar Westlie, Gisle Johansen and Taro Vestøl Cooper to create a collective improvised musical experience. From a rich menu of genres, the musicians create their own hybrid sound that captures the energy and the unique moment that occurs when the musicians meet each other, and the music meets the audience.

More names are coming, and the final line-up probably won't be revealed until Melahuset the same evening.

Drummer Charles Mena was born in Nicaragua, grew up in Brooklyn NYC and came to Norway in 1986, where he has played in various band constellations from Meduza and Notodden Blues Band to The Organ Club. He has also worked as a producer, at Øvingshotellet and at various venues and festivals. The album Quantum Force Inner Circles is an independent sequel to his Quantum Force Soul Particles which was released in 2011.
