This year marks the 250th anniversary of the birth of legendary composer Muthuswamy Dikshitar (1775–1835). His works combine poetry, philosophy and music, and in this concert, Uma Ranganathan and her fellow musicians will perform some of Muthuswamy Dikshitar's most famous compositions.

Uma is an artistic entrepreneur whose journey into the enchanting world of art began at the age of five, Uma is a seasoned vocalist, dancer and teacher trained under the tutelage of many luminaries, such as the distinguished Veteran Smt. Gayathri Venkataraghavan, renowned Percussionist Shri Eride Nagaraj and legendary Danseuse Smt. Jayalakshmi Eshwar. Uma's melodic prowess has graced prestigious venues worldwide. Not just confined to the stage, she's also a dynamic music director for captivating music and dance productions. Her impact extends beyond performances; she is a dedicated art educator with over a decade of teaching experience and a certified music therapist driven by an unwavering interest in exploring the therapeutic dimensions of music. With an innovative approach to music, a commitment to education, and a vision for therapeutic impact, Uma is not just an artist; she's a trailblazing entrepreneur harmonizing tradition with contemporary resonance.

With her at this concert she is accompanied by Athisaiyan Suresh on violin and Chandrakaanth Ramamurthy on Mridangam.
