Ragatid: Uma Ranganathan – Eternal classical melodies: Celebrating 250 Years of Muthuswamy Dikshitar

This year marks the 250th anniversary of the birth of legendary composer Muthuswamy Dikshitar (1775–1835). His works combine poetry, philosophy and music, and in this concert, Uma Ranganathan and her fellow musicians will perform some of Muthuswamy Dikshitar's most famous compositions.

Gayathri Venkataraghavan, renowned Percussionist Shri Eride Nagaraj and legendary Danseuse Smt. Jayalakshmi Eshwar. Uma's melodic prowess has graced prestigious venues worldwide. Not just confined to the stage, she's also a dynamic music director for captivating music and dance productions. Her impact extends beyond performances; she is a dedicated art educator with over a decade of teaching experience and a certified music therapist driven by an unwavering interest in exploring the therapeutic dimensions of music.
