Oil money in humanitarian organizations: Is it ethically sound?

Saturday, October 10

Melahuset
13:00

Humanitarian and non-profit organizations work for the well-being of others, and they depend on financial support to be able to carry out their tasks. There are often restrictions and ethical laws that prohibit money from actors who do not work in line with the organization's purpose. At the same time, large donations are distributed annually from fossil fuel companies. How should one deal with this difficult dilemma? What ethical principles apply and what consequences does this have for the organizations?

Welcome to a conversation at Melahuset where we will explore this theme. The conversation is led by editor of Energy and Climate Ine Schwebs, and the panel includes Doctors Without Borders, Save the Children and social debater Fridtjof Klareng Dale.

Doors open at 1 p.m.
Free admission!
