The music is provided by Atlas Band, who are deeply inspired by Moroccan heritage, as well as Arab and African musical traditions, with a repertoire that includes gnawa, chaabi, raï and folk music.
On stage:
- Abdelkader Ismailia : A prominent chaabi musician, known for his lyrics and themes that draw inspiration from traditional North African music. Chaabi is often played at weddings and celebrations – this is music that really invites dancing!
- Hassan Agadir : A talented Moroccan artist who has established himself in the Norwegian music scene. He specializes in chaabi and several other styles from southern Morocco, including the Amazigh tradition.
- Cheb Hocine : A percussionist and vocalist, known for introducing the raï genre to Norway. Hocine, who hails from Oran, Algeria, combines local folk music with modern pop impulses.
- Karim Bouhlal : A talented violinist with Moroccan roots, he brings a unique musical perspective to the stage and collaborates with other musicians to promote cultural diversity.
- Ali Bouabdillah : The leader of Atlas Band, who also plays keyboards and vocals. With over 30 years of experience in the Norwegian music scene, he has been involved in cultural life since 1994, and actively works to profile Moroccan cultural heritage.
