Welcome to an exceptional concert that ranges from the meditative to the ecstatic, and with an artist who truly improvises and communicates through his instrument – ​​the iconic sitar from North India.

On stage:

Pandit Rabindra Narayan Goswami is a renowned senior master musician, residing in the holy Indian city of Varanasi. He has been a professional musician and teacher for more than 40 years, and as an All India Radio Top Graded artiste, he is sought after both in his hometown and the rest of the world. Goswamiji is known for his vast knowledge of ragas and talas, which allows him to delve into both common ragas as well as the very rare ones. He has learned instrumental and vocal music from various gharanas and styles, and performs on the sitar as well as the surbahar.

On the second sitar he is accompanied by KG Westman , his student for 20 years who has made a name for himself as a renowned sitar and surbahar player in Europe, and who also performs all over the world.

Sanskriti Shresta from Nepal, who is based in Oslo, is one of Europe's foremost female tabla players, composer and arranger, and will provide a delicate accompaniment to the two sitars.
