Welcome to a day filled with singing, rhythms, games, storytelling and activities in both Norwegian and Arabic – for the whole family!

The event is equally suitable for families who speak Arabic at home, as well as those who are just a little curious. Everyone is welcome to discover, taste, hear, dance and be inspired.

Would you like to learn to play the darbuka, learn a song in Arabic, get to know some Arabic words and letters – or participate in a storytelling session in both Norwegian and Arabic?

Then you should take a trip to Melahuset Saturday, February 14, where there will be lots of fun activities for both young and old.

Author Sunniva Krogseth reads from the book Drømmekikkerten in Norwegian, and Yasmin Mouafak reads the book in Arabic.

13:00

Musician Saafa Al-Saadi holds a darbuka workshop. He teaches children how to play the darbuka.

14:00

Arabic teacher Rania Al Abdallah comes to visit.

Children learn to write their name in Arabic, become familiar with Arabic letters and participate in. Letter play – an exciting and playful introduction to the Arabic language.

In addition, the children learn a song in Arabic.
