The musical partnership between Grammy-nominated composer Eduardo Martín and virtuoso guitarist Ahmed Dickinson Cárdenas unites two different generations and sweeps the depth and diversity of Cuban guitar music. The classic Cuban music is shaped by centuries of history, where European classical traditions meet Afro-Cuban rhythms, storytelling and soul. The music carries traces of heritage, identity and emotion – from delicate, lyrical melodies to vibrant, rhythmic energy with roots in the Caribbean. Here, classical styles, Afro-Cuban jazz and rock merge with son montunos; old Yoruba songs, feel-good rumbas, funk boleros, new age melodies and cinematic pieces.

Ahmed Dickinson Cárdenas , hailed as “a true pioneer” by Classic FM, is one of the foremost ambassadors of Cuban classical guitar. Based in London, he builds bridges between Cuba’s cultural heritage and the dynamism of the UK’s classical world music scene. He has performed at major international venues and festivals, released award-winning recordings and collaborated with renowned composers such as Ñico Rojas.

Eduardo Martín is one of the most influential living guitarist-composers in Latin America. A graduate of Cuba's Instituto Superior de Arte, he has created works for solo, chamber and orchestral music throughout his extensive career. His compositions have been performed on all five continents, fusing Caribbean rhythms with European classical traditions and modern expressions. An award-winning guitarist and composer, he has inspired generations of musicians through teaching, recording and artistic leadership.
