Argentine folk music meets Nordic jazz. Argentina has a rich, beautiful and varied folk music tradition and this evening we welcome you to a musical tribute that embraces and connects Argentine folk music with the Scandinavian musical tradition.

The core of AYEN – Argentina y el Norte is the Argentine José Saluzzi and Juan Fracchi and the Danish Ulrik Bisgaard, and since 2017 they have explored Argentine folk music, tango music and Scandinavian jazz. When they played at Melahuset three years ago, it was a full house, and when they return this fall they bring with them jazz profiles Jacob Young and Frode Haltli as musical reinforcement to present a repertoire of original compositions and songs that pay tribute to artists such as Cuchi Leguizamon and Mercedes Sosa.
