May Day Breakfast: International Solidarity in Practice
Thursday, May 1
- Melahuset
- 10:00
Welcome to the Samora Forum and Melahuset's 1 May breakfast:
“From words to action – International solidarity in practice”
What does international solidarity mean in a world that is increasingly complex and unsafe?
International Workers' Day is not only about workers' rights, but also the fight for equality and human rights, the fight against racism, and not least solidarity across borders and societies.
How is our solidarity really doing? Are we too busy with our local struggles that we forget to support those who are worse off than us? How do we move from words to action to create a counterbalance to injustice, and build communities that offer hope for a more just future.
On May 1st, we invite you to an engaging conversation about why international solidarity is important, and how we can all contribute to positive change.
Doors open at 10am and events finish around 12pm.
