Then we can finally release this year's MelaKlassisk program! This year you can look forward to experiencing one of the UK's best sitar players, Roopa Panesar , in her first concert in Norway. Violinist Sharat Chandra Srivastava performs Indian classical music with a global touch, Nayan Parlikar presents classic ragas and talas with a unique twist and vina player Ayushi invites you to a Carnatic music encounter. With Ancient Sounds of Banares , bansuri player Bashkar Das and tabla player Amit Mishra offer a spiritual and musical tribute to the city of Varanasi, Sudeshna Bhattacharya and Mosin Khan Kawa play meditative, beautiful and improvised ragas from the Hindustani tradition, and East Asian and Western music traditions meet in a boundless musical fusion with Saiyuki Trio Feat. Nguyên Lê, Mieko Miyazaki and Prabhu Edouard .
The concerts at MelaKlassisk take place on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 August at the Nobel Peace Center. Admission to Oslo Mela is free.
