Teesri Dhun - The Third Tone is a documentary play from Pakistan, directed by Dr. Clarie Pamment with researcher and art critic Iram Sana.

The play is a dramatization of transgender people's lives and struggle to survive as a third gender category in a polarized society where the male / female dichotomy is the guiding principle. In the play, we are presented with six trans people who share their own and their sisters' experiences through a performance that integrates traditional Pakistani music, dance and storytelling. The stories give us insight into their experiences of loss, exclusion, survival strategies, desires, love dreams and celebrations, and the daily struggle for survival, and to find "a third room" in a society characterized by strongly conservative religiosity and where cis privileges and heteronormativity dominates.

The play is based on interviews with transgender people, archival material related to Khwaja Sira's history and criminalization, and recent media coverage of their fight for equal rights.

The actors themselves are transgender people, and their performances thus also directly contribute to giving them a way to express their identity, and to seek acceptance for their culture and demand their place in society at large. In addition, the play is a demonstration of the theater art's ability to explore and portray an existence that transcends the perceived normative and “normal”, such as the traditional binary gender stereotypes.
